T20 World Cup 2024, India vs England Semifinal:
With an exceptional performance, India defeated England with a remarkable effort.
Congratulations team India for the incredible victory!
After Rohit Sharma's special with the bat, Indian spinners ran riot on a sluggish Guyana pitch to outclass England by 68 runs. With a near-perfect revenge, India stormed into the final, setting up a date with South Africa in the title clash.
India reserved their most emphatic performance for their most brutal payback. Rohit Sharma's men outplayed defending champions England, who looked clueless in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Guyana on Thursday, June 27. The Men in Blue progressed to the final of a T20 World Cup for the first time in 10 years, setting up a date in the title clash with South Africa in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.
It was a perfect revenge. India were outclassed by 10 wickets on a flat pitch in Adelaide in the semi-final of the last T20 World Cup. Jos Buttler's men had chased down 168 in 16 overs without losing a wicket then. However, on Thursday, England's weakness against spin on a sluggish pitch was exposed as India rolled over them, winning by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium. India posted 171, just 3 more than what they had posted two years ago. However, the total proved too many in the end for Jos Buttler's men, who were bundled out for 103 in 16.4 overs.
India remain unbeaten throughout the All world cup just like before. They will face South Africa in theT20WorldCup 2024 Final in Barbados.
